Our Story

The saying we hear quite often in our industry is "Snakes are like potato chips; you can't have just one!". While at first it made us giggle, we soon realized how true it was!

Warren grew up a fairly normal lifestyle, mainly having the "usual" pets that families have like cats, dogs, as well as horses. But he was also raised as an animal lover of all kinds and has always been open minded about all creatures big and small!

Taylor was raised very similarly, with cats, dogs, horses, and other livestock, but also with snakes most of her life. Ball Pythons and Boas have always been her favorite reptiles since childhood, even having her own Ball Python at the age of 10 and taking care of it on her own (being watched by her parents for a while of course). A very tragic accident in 2014 took the lives of the Ball Python and Boa that Taylor's family had, leaving them to lose a bit of interest for the years to come.

In 2019, Taylor's father got a Pied Ball Python (Khaution on our Male page) for him and her mom and it re-sparked the joy all over again for the family. Warren hadn't really been around snakes as much and enjoyed Khaution enough that Taylor was able to talk him into getting a Ball Python for their own home. Enter Daruk! He came home in January 2020. And that is where the story of Red Moon Royals began!

Daruk the Banana Ball Python, started the passion for the Lawrence's that we didn't see coming. Urbosa came to us in July 2020 for Taylor's birthday. That was when the thought of breeding began to enter Taylor's mind. Red Moon Royals was officially born! By December of 2020, our collection had grown to 5 Ball Pythons. And by the end of 2021, we had grown to over 40. Taylor's parents (Secondi's Serpents) do own some of them and co-own some with us as well. We love being able to partner up with them!
